there are also an amazing number of places to visit and things to do in the surrounding areas of Marbella, Puerto Banus and Estepona.

The photographs on this page just show a small selection of all that there is available for children of all ages, ranging from wild-life adventure parks, dolphin and sea-lion marinas, zoos, Mini-Hollywood wild-west town, an aquarium, indoor play areas, cinemas with english language films, ten-pin bowling, plus many sports.

Selwo Aventura, Fuengirola Zoo, Mini-Hollywood and the Crocodile Park all have large areas devoted to a diverse range of wild animals.

Selwo Marina (see below) has spectacular shows featuring dolphins and sea-lions that take place throughout the day in a special arena that has banked semi-covered seating with overhead sprays that provide regular and refreshing bursts of welcome moisture on hot days for the audience.

There is also a large penguin enclosure, an outdoor theatre for shows featuring exotic birds and clowns, a 3D cinema and wildlife enclosures.

All of these have adventure playgrounds for children and on-site restaurants.

For those who also prefer a more active holiday we can also arrange on-site tennis coaching for children and adults with a professional WTA tennis coach.

Use of our seven tennis and paddle-tennis courts is free for all of our guests.

Just a few minutes drive from El Presidente is the excellent riding school, Escuele de Arte Ecuestre (see above). With excellent facilities and tuition the school offers group classes, private or semi-private lessons for riders of all ages and abilities.

Also during the school holidays the Poni Club organises week long courses from 10am to 1pm where the children are grouped according to experience and ability and are shown how to care for the ponies as well as being given the opportunity to improve their riding skills. The riding school is also the venue for national dressage and show-jumping competitions throughout the year.

Camelot Park in Puerto Banus is an indoor play-centre with separate areas for arcade-type games and elaborate climbing frames and slides.

Also in Puerto Banus and during the summer months there is an outdoor fair with street performers to entertain the children (see above right).

In addition there is a multi-screen cinema in Puerto Banus that always has at least one film in english.

For eating out, as well as the usual fast-food places, there are also numerous extremely good and reasonably priced family-friendly restaurants in the areas surrounding El Presidente and Marbella offering a vast range of options.

• Monte Aventura organises cross-country four wheel drive treks in to the beautiful countryside
• Ticket to Ride in Puerto Banus organises all sorts of adventure days including canoeing, canyoning, hiking, quad biking and caving
• Born to be Wild Adventures offers jeep eco-tours to the Unesco Nature Park and local white villages, as well as picnics and team-building activities.
• The TeleCabina Cable Car trip to the top of Monte Calamorro overlooking Benalmadena affords some of the best views on the coast.
